Guacamole recipe

Avocados are a very unique and nutritious fruit. They contain a wide variety of nutrients, including 20 different vitamins and minerals and are loaded with heart healthy monounsaturated fats and fiber. Numerous studies have shown that eating avocados can help improve heart disease risk factors like Total, LDL and HDL cholesterol and blood triglycerides.

3 ripe Haas avocados, halved, seeded and peeled

1 lime, juiced

½ teaspoon pink Himalayan salt

½ teaspoon ground cumin

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

½ medium onion (Vidalia or red)

½ jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced

1 plum tomato, seeded and diced

1 Tablespoon of chopped cilantro



  1. In a large bowl place the avocado pulp and squeeze lime juice on top of the avocado.
  2. Using a potato masher add the salt, cumin, and cayenne, then mash until you have your desired Guacamole consistency.
  3. Fold in the onions, tomatoes and cilantro. Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour and then serve with taco chips and/or raw veggies and enjoy!
